I was born and raised in Moonee Ponds, located Northwest of Melbourne Central Business District. I completed my Certificate IV in Business Administration at Vic University in 1992.
I’ve worked in a wide range of industries such as party planning and makeup artistry. My experience prior to joining Maxum was with Viterra Packaging and Processing. They are one of the largest buyers and exporters of Australian grains and pulses. I was responsible for coordinating cost-effective and timely shipments of cargo on behalf of local and overseas agents via sea freight. My experience with Viterra placed me into my role at Maxum. I thoroughly enjoy the daily liaison with external suppliers aspect of the role as well as the team of people I work with.
Outside of work, I love spending time with family and friends and walking my dog, Oscar. In the warmer seasons, my husband and I enjoy cycling around Melbourne’s St Kilda Beach and Yarra River trails. Occasionally we take drives to country regions and towns where we ride or hike trails through nature. I also like to participate in charity events such as ‘The Run for Kids’ Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal and the ‘Ride for Wishes’ which is a charity event for children diagnosed with critical illness. Both events are a great way to keep fit and raise money for extremely worthy causes.
I also enjoy cooking and experimenting with recipes and different combinations. I combine my love of good food with catching up with friends over wine and their great conversation.
What I enjoy most about Maxum Foods is the people. I admire the company’s work ethic and collaborative spirit. I love working in logistics; no two days are ever the same which keeps the role entertaining and exciting.
