A little bit about me: Being born and raised on a dairy farm in the south Kaipara area north of Auckland gave me my love of animals from the very start. I joined PPG Wrightson in 1990 working in a number of stores before starting my first repping role in the late 90’s. I moved my family to the mighty Waikato in 2003 to take up a role in the AG chemical industry then moving into a national key account role with Tru-Test (now Datamars) in 2007. I then spent 10 years in the CMR space importing a product out of Europe before working for a sheep milk dairy company before taking a break from the AG industry.
What do I do at Maxum Foods: Since joining MaxCare in May 2025, I service farmers and 26 PGG Wrightson stores from Taupo north. Being on farm and offering solutions to help farmers to be more sustainable and profitable is what drives me day to day.
Why Maxum Foods: I was drawn to Maxum by the synergies in the way the team has developed the business here in NZ since 2018 and what I did previously in the CMR space, namely providing answers for farmers searching to improve their animal rearing systems and results.
A fun fact about me: There is very little harder or more rewarding than being a parent and I have 4 awesome children I’m very proud of.
For a few years I organised and captioned the local business house cricket team, and our regular last-minute fill-in was a very young and at that stage yet to be All Blacks great, Tony Woodcock.
